About Polacanthus security training
Starting september 2007, my (Rob J Meijer) wife started going back to school, where she will keep going untill
april 2009. During this period I will spent all my mondays and thursdays at home with my one year old doughter.
To use this time effectifely I descidded to spent this period and these days at home to develop security training
material. Given my previously profesional and currently mostly personal interest in security solutions using the
principle of least priviledge (POLP) and principle of least authority (POLA), I descidded to make the training to
discuss access controll theory with a strong bias towards practical usage of POLP/POLA.
In order to keep a good balance between theory and practical solutions, I descidded to addopt and addapt a few ideas
that I had had in the past but wasn't able to complete. These idea's I am now developing as open source projects,
but with as first focus their use within the training. This means that unless other people would like to help out
on these projects, their scope will not go beyond the limited scope needed within the training context.
